Garlic dill pickles

When the garden gives you all of these...

it's time to make these!

This is by far the best dill pickle recipe we have ever found. I found it a few years ago on epicurious. The recipe calls for either fresh dill or dill seed. We have made it both ways and can barely tell the difference between the two.

Fast Favorite Garlic Dill Pickles: makes 4 pint jars

  • 3# cukes
  • 2 cups vinegar
  • 2 cups water
  • 2 TBL pickling salt
  • 4 heads fresh dill or 4 tsp dill seeds
  • 4 small cloves garlic

Bring brine to boil and pour over hot packed jars. Water bath about 15 minutes.

Set for a few weeks and ENJOY!

  1. Oh my, I do LOVE anything pickled and have always wanted to make my own. Only wish I could say I have my own cukes to use! JEALOUS. Thanks for sharing. I am wondering if I can make a spicy version?! YUMMO

  2. These look really yummy. It looks like these were packed in the new 1/2 gallon jars, how long did you process those? Thanks ~
