Sorry, but hate mail is no longer being accepted here.

I mean is hate mail really necessary?! Really?! I have received a few emails rudely complaining about my tutorials not being descriptive enough, too many pictures of my kiddo's being shared, the lack of fat quarter fridays, and even my misspellings and grammar. I mean really folks, is it necessary? I want to remind you all that these tutorials are FREE for your use. I do not get paid at all for this blog and the hours spent working on my posts and tutorials. I do it because I enjoy it. I have never said that I had the best sewing skills and know all of the proper ways of constructing things. My tutorials show you how I got to the finished product and I am sorry if yours does not come out exactly like mine. Yes, I understand how frustrating it can be, because I have run into the exact same issues when following others tutorials. But instead of sending hate mail (and by hate mail I'm referring to those being rude and making rude comments, not those of you that are asking me questions or questioning my steps) I contact them for further help. And I have always encouraged all of you to do the same. If you get stuck or need a little help please email so I can help you further. I want to help you out and that is what I am here for. All of your questions and comments (positive and negative) have helped me make my tutorials better and I am thankful for that. I know that I am not perfect and gladly welcome negative criticism...just don't be rude about it...being rude is just unnecessary! And if you are going to tell me that you are no longer want to follow me unless I change things on this blog then buh-bye! Sorry but that doesn't hurt my feelings one bit! I have watched my number of followers rise and fall all along the way and have never changed my blog to gain more followers, that is not why I blog. This blog is first and foremost for me. I am just honored that so many of you take the time to read and comment on my blog. I really do love all of your comments and enjoy reading each and every one of them. So sorry for this post and I have debated and debated on posting it, because its just not how I am. But I have tried to overlook these rude comments and such, but there comes a time when I just have to talk about it and to let some of know that...hate mail is no longer being accepted here! So there I said it and I'm over it, and I wont mention it again.

On another note, yes I did make three 1 eyed 1 horned flying purple people eaters for Halloween and used an Old Navy costume from last year as a template (sorta). I did put together some templates to share with all of you but I am in the middle of finding a new place to download all of my printable templates. I know a lot of you have been having some trouble with downloading my templates from my Scribd. So hang in there I am working on it and hopefully will have things changed over soon. But for now if anyone has any suggestions on where to upload them to then please let me know.

  2. Ha ha! This post made me laugh. How can you complain about free? People can be so rude {and ungrateful!}. I think your blog is great - keep it up! :)

  3. I don't think anyone should have to accept hate mail. I have had a few and I did simply ask them to no longer read my blog. I am me, in the real and on the blog. If you don't like the content I post then I guess we weren't meant to be friends to begin with. Nonetheless I know how it can rile you up. I hate getting those posts and 9 times out of ten it is from an anonymous no reply so I can't even respond. Cowards.

I LOVE your costume! Oh how I wish mine were young enough to let me choose their costume for them lol. I can't wait until I have little neices and nephews, I'm the oldest so my younger siblings have yet to start on families of their own.
Thanks for sharing all you do!

  4. Oh, god forbid you put photos of your children on YOUR own blog, lol. Some people just need something to complain about. You do a great job! Your one eyed, one horned purple people eaters Halloween costume is very cute and creative! Try not to let pathetic people bring you down, keep doing your great work!

  5. I can't believe people would be so rude! Well said, there are plenty of us who love reading ALL your blog, be it crafts or kids or a combination, and your tutorials are very much appreciated. Please keep up the good work and shared fun!

  7. I have used google for uploading my pdf template for a pattern I made. I have a google docs account and I could upload the pdf and choose whether to make it public or private and if I made it public then whether anyone could find it or only those with the link.

    Hope this helps
    xx
p.s. some people would be rude even if their life depends upon it, you're right to just let it wash over you x

  8. Good for you for ignoring the hate! Some people really just need something to complain about as it makes them feel powerful and important. You go on with your bad self and carry on just as you were. :)

  9. They're just haters...I'm glad you called them on their s**t. It's your blog, you have the right to post what you want when you want to and if they don't like it they can leave. I'm ALL about posting pictures of my son on my blog and maybe some people don't like that but I figure if they're unhappy they can choose not to read it.

  10. What the bejinkos is wrong with people!? Your tutorials are amazing, some of the clearest I think! Goodness me, complaining because you have photos of your kids on your blog, people need to grow up.

You have perhaps the cutest monster I've ever seen, great costume!

  13. Seriously?...Some people just plain suck. Last time I checked, this is your blog and you can post about whatever you'd like. I personally love seeing posts of bloggers' children and real life. It's fun to see glimpses of what they're all about. Makes it more personal. And really, who cares about spelling and grammar?! Maybe unless they're 3rd grade teachers commenting. Maybe they care. haha
And how dare you not have the ability to make people amazing seamstresses with your tutorials!! DOn't you know you're supposed to supply your readers with talent as well?! (obviously total sarcasm going on here. LOL!)
You're awesome Christina. Enough said. :D

  14. Oh my goodness... sorry about receiving hate mail, shame on them! You do a great job! And who are they to say what you SHOULD be doing on YOUR blog... Writing a blog is a lot of work, and I am glad you are here to share your talents.

  15. Oh man! It makes me feel so bad to hear about other people being so mean. It really is bewildering to me.

Your little purple monster is so cute and so creative!

  16. The costume is adorable! What a great idea! Also, it is YOUR blog, why on earth would anybody tell you how to run it???? And you're right, if somebody has constructive criticism, that's fine, but that is NEVER a reason to be rude, especially to somebody that is willing to share THEIR information with you! Like I always say; if you don't like it, don't listen to it, watch it, read it, etc... it's what most people do. Keep doing what you do,it's YOUR blog!

  18. Whoa! What is wrong with people? Who would even consider sending a nasty-gram to someone who is providing a free service?? I love your blog and I LOVE Seeing your little kiddos and all the fun things you do with and for them.

I truly cannot believe that someone would email you a comment that suggests that YOUR blog has too many photos of YOUR kids. And to threaten to stop following? Good grief...see ya later!

    Don't change a thing. :)

  44. Wow...I'm SO sorry you're getting so much nasty hate mail! People can be ridiculous-as my mom taught me when I was VERY young..."some people just haven't learned to be kind yet!" I enjoy reading your blog and think you do a great job. THANK YOU for all the free tutorials and ideas you share! I hope your hate mail goes waaaay down (hopefully to none!) because this is such a cute and creative blog! Keep up the good work!!

  47. This saddens me because I follow so many blogs and it's happens all too often that I read posts just like this one. You share so much on your blog and then get dumped on for it. Mean people suck and, unfortunately, they're all over the interwebs. I don't often comment but, dang girl, I love your blog. Keep up the great work and post whatever you want...including your incredibly cute kids.

    Take care,
